Think anti aging skin care guide and what’s the first thing that enters your mind? To a large proportion of us, anti aging skin care treatment entails sitting around for at least 30 minutes a day with some form of gooey gunk slathered all over the face. While that may, to some extent, make your skin look younger, that’s certainly not the only way to encourage youthful looking skin.

Here is an easy to follow and effortless anti aging skin care guide that anyone can follow in their quest for skin that looks young and feels smooth:

Anti Aging Skin Care Guide for Younger Looking Skin

Tip #1 – Cut back on the tanning.

While it has been lauded that sunlight is essential for good health, an excess of sunlight is downright harmful. Sunlight, in the correct doses, assists the body to produce Vitamin D. Too much sunlight, however, causes a reduction in the production of hyaluronan, an essential component of the skin that helps to mend skin tissue. This results in premature aging and wrinkling of the skin. Though sunscreens help, their effect is limited over extended periods of time. Also to be considered is that, sunscreens often contain chemicals that are, in fact, bad for the skin.

Tip #2 – Stay Hydrated.

This one is so basic, we overlook it in favor of expensive anti aging skin care products and treatments that come in fancily packaged jars. Instead of going to such extremes, one of the more beneficial things you can do for your skin is to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. It keeps your skin appearing hydrated and youthful instead of dry and wrinkled like an old shoe. Remember to drink clean, filtered water that is free from all impurities.

Tip #3 – Maintain a Skin-Friendly Diet.

One of the major causes of early aging of the skin is the presence of free radicals, those highly damaging molecules that roam around in the body and destroy various cells, including the skin cells. One way to counter free radical damage, even prior to it starting, is by consuming generous quantities of broccoli, spinach and other dark, leafy green vegetables.

Tip #4 –Use the Right Anti-Aging Skin Care Products.

Complementing the above three tips with good quality anti aging skin care products will ensure that your skin stays youthful for a long, long time. This is easier said than done however. How do you determine whether a product is good, bad or just plain ineffective?

A good skin care cream should keep your skin soft and velvety, as opposed to letting it remain dry and sore. Look for skin creams and lotions that contain special ingredients such as Nonobelle Coenzyme Q10 and Phytessence Wakame, which help stimulate collage and elastin production in the body.

When looking for an anti aging skin care guide that you can actually use, always look for one that is practical, easy and effective rather than one that promotes complicated routines that you are likely to give up in a few days because of sheer ennui.
